Low Kill and High Thrill: Austin Texas Animal Resource Center
The Austin Animal Center is Central Texas’ largest municipal animal resource shelter, however, it is rarely recognized for its outstanding work. Housed in a brand new facility filled with state of the art accommodations for both staff and animals alike, this low kill shelter provides extensive services for its animals while benefitting the Austin community. I found this project extremely interesting because it was my first time creating an audio assignment. Also, the process of recording interviews of different individuals was very fulfilling, as well as enlightening to learn about something new, such as the Austin Animal Shelter.
